内容简介:

叶顶和机匣之间的间隙是影响叶轮机械性能、效率和寿命的重要因素。最小化的叶顶间隙减少了叶顶的空气泄漏,导致更高的推力,更高的燃料效率和更少的排放。然而,由于不稳定的气体压力和温度以及叶片本身的机械振动,特别是在气体温度和涡轮机转速发生显著变化的加速/减速期间,难以准确地估计动态叶顶间隙。另一方面,叶顶间隙的不精确测量可能引起叶片与机匣之间的摩擦和对涡轮发动机的致命损坏。

本报告介绍了一种稳定的电感叶顶间隙传感器,能够在高温环境和高转速下监测涡轮机的动态叶顶间隙。传感器还可以自动感应叶尖处的温度,从而可以估计和补偿对叶顶间隙测量的温度影响。

Introduction:

The clearance between blade tips and a turbine case is an essential factor for performance, efficiency and life-time of turbomachinery. Minimalized tip clearance reduces the air leakage over blade tips, leading to higher thrust, higher fuel efficiency and less emission. However, it is difficult to accurately estimate the dynamic tip clearance because of the unsteady gas pressure and temperature as well as the mechanical vibrations of the turbine itself, especially during acceleration/deceleration when gas temperature and turbine’s speed are changed dramatically. On the other hand, an inaccurate measurement of blade tip clearance may introduce rubbing between blade tips and a fatal damage to the turbine engine.

Here I report a robust inductive tip clearance sensor capable of monitoring dynamic tip clearances of turbine machines in high temperature environments and at high rotating speeds. The sensor can also self-sense the temperature at a blade tip in situ such that temperature effect on tip clearance measurement can be estimated and compensated.

者江是俄亥俄州阿克伦大学机械工程系教授, 2002年哥伦比亚大学机械工程学院获得博士学位,1996年获得北京工业大学热工工程硕士学位,1993年在西北工业大学获得学士学位。加入阿克伦大学之前,他于2002年在菲特尔科技公司(菲特尔科技公司)和2003年的Advanced Microsensors(先进传感器公司)担任研发工程师。Zhe博士的主要研究领域是微纳米传感器,微流体装置,芯片实验室和智能感测材料和结构。他的研究得到美国国家科学基金,国防部,航空航天局和行业的资助,主持过10项美国国家科学基金项目。 2008年,他晋升为副教授,并于2012年分担任全职教授。他发表过95篇同行审阅的文章和5项美国专利,获得了2009年美国机械工程师学会“Lewis F. Moody”奖(李维思穆笛奖)和阿克伦大学工程学院2011年“杰出研究员奖”。2014年,他被选为ASME研究员。

Speaker’s Biography

Zhe Jiang is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Akron, Ohio.  He received his Ph.D. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University in 2002, a Master Degree in Thermal Engineering from Beijing University of Technology in 1996, and a Bachelor degree in Power Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnic University in China  in 1993.  Prior to joining University of Akron, he was a research and development engineer in Fitel Technologies in 2002 and Advanced Microsensors in 2003. Dr. Zhe’s major research areas are micro and nano sensors, microfluidic devices, lab-on-a-chip devices and smart sensing materials and structures. His research has been well funded by NSF, DOD, NASA and industry. In particular, he has been Principle Investigators for 10 NSF projects. He was early promoted to associate professor in 2008 and to full professor in 2012 respectively. He is the author of 95 peer-reviewed articles, 5 US patents, and the recipients of American Society of Mechanical Engineers’ “Lewis F. Moody” Award in 2009 and University of Akron College of Engineering’s “Outstanding Researcher Award” in 2011. In 2014, he was elected to the Fellow of ASME.
