In School of Power and Energy, you will be guided by experienced teachers and choose from three majors:Flight Vehicle Propulsion Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering, Automation to envision projects and solutions that make the world a better place to live.

 

Flight Vehicle Propulsion Engineering

Centering on the demands of high level talents for the economic development and national defense, we aim at proving our students who have interests in aerospace and energy industry, sense of creativity and innovation, responsibility of community and country, with flight vehicle propulsion engineering fundamentals and skills based on our principle of knowledge, practice, innovation and horizons.

Focusing on liberal arts education, students are trained with a scientific thinking pattern, an innovative spirit, the ability to solve problems and raise a question. The students can take some optional courses to find their own interests and get more skills for the future.

Our graduates have competitive edge on the job market of FVPE.

What you get:

1. Rich knowledge background of natural & social science, art, culture, and ability to express and write academically.

2. Fundamentals and know-how of aerothermodynamics, fluid mechanics, combustion, heat transfer theory, mechanical principle, electronics and control theory, etc and the operating principle, design procedure and method of flight vehicle propulsion.

3. Grasp of cutting-edge technology of flight vehicle propulsion and the ability to research and work in labs.

Requirements:

Time: 4 years (3-6 years according to the credits)

Credits for total courses: 224.5

Course hours: 3312hrs

Degree: Bachelor of Engineering

Energy and Power Engineering

The program designs to cultivate the future engineers and technicians who committed to combustion and heat transfer of aerospace propulsion systems, civil power and energy, cryogenic refrigeration and air conditioning.

This course provides two major options: underwater power engineering and aerodynamic engineering. And our students are found to be competitive in almost all kinds of jobs.

Requirements:

Time: 4 years (3-6 years according to the credits)

Credits for total courses: 216

Course hours: 3232hrs

Numbers of courses: 103

Minimum credits: 170.5

Degree: Bachelor of Engineering

Automation

Our students are provided with both fundamental and applied knowledge of automation and the skill and ability to research or work independently, with the main focus on research, design, test, production, operation maintenance, technical management of aircraft power control system as well as thermal mechanical automatic control system.

Students will learn the professional knowledge, get engineering training, acquire the ability to analyze, design and R&D。

2. Fundamentals and know-how of circuit theory, electronics, control theory, aero engine,Computer Software and hardware.

3. Grasp of cutting-edge technology of automation and the keep track of the latest trend.

4. Engineering training on system analysis, design and R&D.

5. Ability to research, organize and work in the field of automation.

Requirements:

Time: 4 years (3-6 years according to the credits)

Credits for total courses: 214

Course hours: 3160hrs

Numbers of courses: 95

Minimum credits: 172.5

Degree: Bachelor of Engineering
